""I first bought this incredible apartment brand-new when my music career was exploding worldwide. I was studying a Bachelor's Degree of Music at South Bank and playing sold-out shows in Fortitude Valley before racing to the Brisbane Airport to catch flights both internationally and nationally every weekend; my apartment was no more than 10 minutes from all three places. If I wanted to experience Brisbane's nightlife scene, I'd catch the elevator downstairs and everything was at my doorstep. If I needed to head to the airport I was a very short drive away. In fact, I could see the airport from my apartment – not only that, I could also see the bay! There aren't many apartments in Brisbane where you can see boats on the water and also look directly down at the Story Bridge. The fireworks on the Story Bridge every year are incredible!

This wasn't just an investment, it was a sky home. When I bought the apartment I wanted it to be something special, it was next-level quality of life.

Most of the apartments in this building had the couch sitting against the incredible floor-to-ceiling glass and faced in towards a wall-mounted television. It works, but I'm an artist and I thought differently. So I had interior designers come in and completely rethink the plan. We decided to leave every single view unobstructed.

This fully-furnished apartment has the couches against the walls and facing out to the world. Guests can sit down to what seems to be an eternity of inspirational flickering lights at night and a constant movement of sunshine, white clouds, hinterland and ocean views in the day. Every single moment of every day is art. You get lost just laying down and watching the world go by. I hired a company to install a massive retractable projector screen that comes out of the roof. When you want views you get them, when you want to snuggle up and watch movies you just press a button and the screen drops down with the HD projector behind you. There is also a BOSE surround-sound system that I had built into the apartment. The small speakers hide in the corners of the living room roof. When it's time to watch a movie, you can easily drop down the projector and enjoy the most amazing 3D experience ever.

What will truly impress is the floor-plan, which is the best in the building. Facing north-east on the tower's 57th level, the property feels as if it's truly up in the clouds. It's details like this that make the apartment so hard to let go of. Not to mention, it was also the place where I made my first #1 world-charting album. If you're not into music, gorgeous views and living in the midst of the CBD, you can always catch the elevator down to the lap pool, sauna, steam room, fully-equipped gym and just relax. Here, you're not just investing in a Brisbane City apartment, you're buying a piece of my heart. 5704 in Soleil has a magic to it that I have not seen again.
