Muswellbrook is located in the Upper Hunter area of NSW approximately 2.5 hours North of Sydney via the Hunter expressway.
Muswellbrook has a population of 12,000 with 20,000 people in the shire overall.
It is a major regional centre of the mining industry with several mines in close proximity to town including Mount Arthur, Bengala, Muswellbrook Coal, Mangoola, Hunter Valley number 1 and several more between Muswellbrook and Singleton. It is also home to a host of industries that service the mining sector. The two biggest horse studs in Australia being Goldolphin and Coolmore along with the Widden valley studs are located in the shire and bring a lot of employment to the area. Both these industries along with the everyday working people of a busy regional centre create a big transient population who utilise a facility such as these storage units.

In May 2017 the Mount Pleasant Mine operation will open. This mine is located 4km* from Muswellbrook town centre. The operation will create some 330 new jobs in the Muswellbrook area with a further 520 jobs in the region. The estimated income generated into the region is $40.8million* per annum.
