"Stonleigh" is one of Wodonga's earliest buildings and stands on allotment of 2040m2 and granted to Daniel Rhodes in 1854, in one of the first land sales conducted in Wodonga.
The building commenced soon after with the stone walls being 18 inches (46cm) thick. It passed through several owners including Paul Huon in 1858 and Peter Tenner, a farmer and vigneron, who took over in 1866. It was then described as being "built as stone and having a cellar and a detached kitchen plus outside toilet, and a shed or two".
With the historical presence, the opportunity exists to further create an exceptional property with the possibility of providing many different uses (STCA). The front cottage could have many multi purposes including Café, Restaurant, antique or curiosity premises. The choice is yours.
Behind is the current residence which requires some updating and could be reconnected to the front section making a bigger space. Downstairs has a stoned wall large cellar, ideal for the wine enthusiasts or an additional dining area.
Outside offers great car accommodation with a 7.14m2 x 8.8m2 Double Carport,
three 15.6m2 x 5.5m2 Garages with roller doors and a massive 175m2 Workshop currently set up as a Cabinet Making Facility.
An incredible opportunity to secure a valuable piece of Wodonga's History.
