Dungey’s Point, the mountain of Mara Munjie, at nearly 1200 metres elevation, has stunning views. Westward towards the gatehouse at Hotham Airport, and Mt Loch beyond. Nor-west reveals the velvety Mt Battery, with Mt Cope behind. Northwards, the State Forest and National Park, give a John Olsen backdrop, whilst, eastwards, the grazing lands of Mara Munjie and Cobungra Station complete the picture. Hill and mountain pro les recede endlessly into afternoon mists.
This big piece of land, (133.9 ha over 330 acres), enjoys light, medium and heavy forest cover and has multiple gullies and ephemeral creeks. The bush is self sustaining here. Fencing, along adjoining ‘Dabolera Run’ is new. There is but one thing to do at Dungey’s; re ect upon and absorb its beauty and tranquility.
