Due to an interstate move, our lifestyle property is up for sale - privately.

Please note: our property won’t suit;

Folks who like having no room to park boats, trailers and toys

Folks who like to have no room for their kids or grandkids to play

Folks who like to have their neighbors so close they can hear their flatus!

Why? Because we have approximately 2000 square metres of flat, useable land!

Honestly, our property won’t suit anyone who’d rather scrub bathrooms than sip wine on a large timber deck and entertain friends via a wood-burning pizza oven. Our two-way bathroom takes only minutes to clean, and we have two loos!

Seriously, it just won’t suit folks who likes paying bills, the reason being that we are pretty much;

Self-sufficient in fruit and vegetables

Self-sufficient with rainwater tapped into the house (approx. 59,000L=house, 15,000=garden)

Self-sufficient with solar – 9KW system and 10KW battery.

Sewage access runs past our property too, but we don’t use that; we harness the result of our pizza and wine through our aerobic wastewater system – it runs automatically to most of our fruit trees.

So, if you’re still interested in our self-sufficient lifestyle property after hearing all the bad bits, here are the nuts and bolts...

Our Moonta Bay property is 2.5 blocks to the beach on a road that the council has great plans for starting soon; curbing, sealing and landscaping! Imagine, your own brand-new road!

To read all about the great wastewater and road-sealing projects currently being undertaken by the Copper Coast Council, and the timeframe, click the below link or copy/paste in your browser...

https://www.coppercoast.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0028/751267/5-Year-Stormwater-Plan-13-07-2020-Final-Draft.pdf

Our home has 3 bedrooms (2 with built-ins and the main with a walk-through robe). The master bedroom has a bay window and is very light. All the main house windows are tinted, and floor coverings are a mix of vinyl and carpet.

The kitchen has gas cooking, dishwasher and a sizeable corner pantry plus a second pantry as well. The kitchen overlooks the dining/family and the deck. The lounge room is separate at the front, and very light. The garage, with automatic door, also has access to the house and is large enough for one large car and a whole host of, you know, man-stuff.

The house itself was an Oasis transportable home located approx. 2008 and has since had a builder’s extension to it. We have a great bunch of receipts, plans and information about the property for a prospective buyer including termite inspections and prevention treatments.

With ample doors and windows in our home, we pick up the sea-breezes in summer and in winter, we snuggle in front of our combustion fire with a hot chocolate and enjoy watching the flames dance - very romantic! Oh, yeah, there’s a woodshed to keep our wood collection dry too.

Talking of sheds, our garden shed is double normal size, and we have the mother of all ‘she sheds’ fully enclosed, lined and 3-bays in size – perfect for a work from home office! There is also a chook yard with 6 girls who are keen to stay on with a new owner.

Our block is fully fence – great for pets and kids – and has... wait for it... drumroll... the following trees; Kalamata olives x 6, pear, apricot, peach, both green and red apple trees, fig, lemonade fruit, lemon, mandarin, almond, lime, nectarine, avocados, bay leaf, kaffir lime and pomegranate. We eat our fruit year-round fresh, dried and stewed/frozen.

Our vegies keep us in food throughout the year too with too many to mention. We also have a green house and grow tomatoes and other summer goodies in winter. Grape vine, dragon fruit and asparagus plants are recent additions, and the pumpkin vines are forming pumpkins as I write.

For the man with toys, there remains room on our block for the man shed of all sheds if the garage doesn’t cut it.

Oh, there’s also a garden area with plants suited to aromatherapy for those in the know.

So that’s our home and if you feel you are interested, please in-box me with questions and/or to arrange an inspection. Please no tyre-kickers or scammers; we weren’t born yesterday and what a world we live in when I have to say that!

Offers in the high 400s will be considered.

Cheers, Heather.

PS: the neighbors are great, very quiet and good company over a glass of wine.

Never bought a house by private sale before?
