Location
The site is located in the municipality of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, approximately 9km south west of the Margaret River Township in Forest Grove.

The Vineyard has had outstanding recent success with its fruit through the world wide acclaim of the McHenry Hohnen Calgardup Brook Chardonnay.
Current planted varieties are Chardonnay, Semillon, Shiraz, Marsanne, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Physical Characteristics
The property comprises mostly good quality gravelly loam soil, with some lighter sands in sections of the property, common to this locality. The property also contains undulating landforms with the Calgardup Brook running through it from East to West.
