GIPPSLAND!

Historically Korumburra was an important black coal town which grew up to meet the Victorian demands for power in the late 19th century. Today it still has the Coal Creek Community Park and Museum which is a significant tourist attraction for the town, reminding visitors of its mining past. More recently, the town has focused on dairy and cattle for the local economy and Burra Foods, which is a processor and exporter of dairy ingredients, is a major employer in the town.

The Daisybank Estate is Korumburra's pre-eminent land estate with some very impressive houses having already been built in the estate. All lots have sealed curb and channelling, underground electricity, sewerage, telephone, water & natural gas.

The estate has a natural amphitheatre feel with each block having great views of the beautiful surrounding hills. The estate also features a playground for families with young children and is only a short stroll back into the main street of town.

The town has two Primary Schools, a High School, and its own Hospital. The town is self sufficient with many amenities likely to be found in suburbia but with a rural feel.

The closest significant towns are Tooradin to the north west, Warragul to the north and Leongatha to the south east.
