Coolangatta Historic House 1889 was built by the Mayor of Balmain, Solomon Hyam, the house originally served as a guest house for his friends and family from the city.<br/><br/>Legend has it that the Mayors’ family and friends frequented the home and sophisticated musical evenings were habitual, a grand piano took centre position near the handsome statuary marble fireplace in the living room where a grand piano still takes centre stage today. <br/><br/>Over 120 years ‘Coolangatta’ was subject to metamorphosis with walls and interiors changing as owners came and went through the passage of time.
