The Township of Hamilton lies 45 minutes North West from Hobart and was once a bustling frontier town that contained many inns and several working breweries. Hamilton is steeped in history and was founded in1826 the township then named 'Sorell Plains', and it became locally known as 'Macquarie' and 'Lower Clyde' and it is the gateway to the Great Lakes region.
